Solution:

Here,

 x+¹/x = 5

To find x³+¹/x³=?

 Now,

 x³+¹/x³=(x+¹/x)^3 - 3x.¹/x(x+¹/x)

             or, (5)^3 -3(5)   [Putting the value of x+¹/x = 5)
